Fourth grade moves on to 4-digit adding and subtracting, long multiplication, remainders, factors and multiples, equivalent fractions, adding fractions, decimals and angles. Readers work on theme, finding the proof in a text, summing it up and how a text is built, along with prefixes and suffixes, Greek and Latin roots and language that is not literal.

ZUNBIX has 83 4th grade skills across math, reading, science, social studies, coding and art, and twelve games that all pitch themselves at 4th grade, then move up or back with your child.

4th Grade games

Every game is free to play at 4th grade. Here is what each one practises for a 4th grader.

Questions parents ask

Is ZUNBIX really free for 4th grade?

Yes. All twelve games, every lesson and the parent dashboard are free. There is no subscription and nothing to buy: the coins children earn are pretend and only unlock outfits, pets and trophies inside ZUNBIX.

Does my 4th grader need an account or an email address?

No sign-up is needed to play. Your child makes a player with a first name or nickname and a grade, and it is saved in this browser. If you want progress kept across devices, a grown-up can sign in on the parents page. Children never sign in and never give an email address.

Are there ads or chat?

No. ZUNBIX shows no adverts, has no chat or messages and no public leaderboards, and shows nothing about your child to other players. The children's privacy page sets out exactly what is stored.

What 4th grade math does ZUNBIX cover?

24 math skills for 4th grade: Place Value, Addition & Subtraction, Geometry, Multiplication & Division, Fractions & Decimals, Money & Time, Word Problems. Each one is matched to the Common Core standards for the grade, with hints before answers and a worked explanation after a miss.

What 4th grade reading does ZUNBIX cover?

31 reading and language skills for 4th grade: Phonics, Sight Words, Sentence Building, Reading Comprehension, Spelling & Vocabulary, Reading Fluency, Grammar, Punctuation, Writing. They are matched to the Common Core English Language Arts standards for the grade.

What if my child is ahead of or behind 4th grade?

The grade is only where ZUNBIX starts. A short starting check in math and reading finds the right level, every round moves up or back with your child's answers, and a gap points back to the earlier skill it needs. You can change the grade at any time.

Does it read the questions aloud?

Yes. Read-aloud is on from the start, and every question has a Listen button, so a child who reads slowly can still play every game. It can be turned off in the sound settings.

How long should a 4th grader play?

A practice round is 10 questions, a few minutes. Grown-ups can set a daily goal on the parents page, and the dashboard shows what was practised, what has stuck and what is worth another round.

Does it work on a tablet or Chromebook?

Yes. ZUNBIX runs in the web browser on computers, Chromebooks, tablets and phones, so there is nothing to download or install.

More on what is stored and why on the children’s privacy page, and progress for each child on the parents page.
